In the past I have dealt with a number of locum agencies and when carrying a GP vacancy last summer, started to use a couple to fill our requirements, one of them being Primecare Locums. The only agency I use now is Primecare Locums. This is primarily because our contact in the company, Nikki Kaur is by far the most efficient, conscientious and reliable person I have come across in the business during the six years I have been a Practice Manager. The quality of the locum doctors provided is comparable or better than those supplied to us from other agencies in the past. Dr S Rai in particular has been excellent. |

I would like to thank Nikki and Richard for the GP service that has been provided by Primecare Locums since October 2009. Our GP sessions within this establishment are an integral part of the Offender Health – NHS Service that we have to provide and maintain. We are extremely pleased with the exceptional service that has and still is, being provided. Nikki and Richard are always very professional and their rapid response to all correspondence and queries is excellent. We have used a variety of GP Agencies in the past, but have never received the same quality of GP or service from these Agencies as we do with Primecare Locums. The GPs from Primecare Locums are very professional, reliable, friendly and approachable which is of extreme importance to the Offender Health department. We receive a quarterly GP Rota which is of great use for planning and is of extra benefit within the establishment’s Gate entry booking-in system. This also eases my pressure in preparing and submission of the monthly GP Rota. Nikki and Richard do all they can and more to help and fulfil our requirements. I therefore have no hesitation in recommending Primecare Locums and I would strongly recommend their services to colleagues. |

Northants Out Of Hours have now had the pleasure of being supported by Primecare Locums for almost six months. During this time we have received unparalleled service by both the clinicians who have worked for us and our primary contact, Sandip Narewal. I feel that Sandip has been an asset to both Primecare and NOOH in the implementation and allocation of clinical cover when requested. Although it is not always possible to provide clinicians at such short notice, it is felt that Sandip has always gone out of her way and tried her best! The channels of communication with her are always open and responses are timely via e-mail or telephone. Sandips attitude to her position is very transparent and professional which is portrayed in conversations with her. The clinicians themselves have been highly professional, hard working and have slotted in alongside our regular staff seamlessly providing us with the manpower to maintain our standards and meet our targets in an ever demanding environment. We now have a regular core of Primecare GP’s who provide cover for us which cuts down on the worries of endless turnarounds and the associated problems when taking on new personnel. Out of the agencies that we have approached in the past for a solution to our shortfall of local GP’s, Primecare Locums have undoubtedly provided us with the superior service and their ‘can do’ attitude. I would be quite happy to recommend their services to any other service who may find themselves needing clinical support staff. |

The booking enabled a full surgery service to be provided to patients when it was difficult to find cover. Other agencies were approached but the service was abysmal – they didn’t seem interested and did not follow up my query. We receive an excellent service and response from the consultants at Primecare Locums who assist us with GP provision in IDTS. You can be sure to get an immediate response from Nikki and Richard who are super friendly and very accommodating; they can never do enough for you! The assistance we have received from the consultants and experienced Locum GPs has stabilised the Doctor provision for our service and allows us to meet our clinical needs. We are always provided with doctors that are experienced in prisons as well as Substance Misuse which is extremely important to us. The Locum GPs supplied to us are always friendly, efficient and reliable. They are very accommodating and work well within our service taking into account some of the issues and constraints of the prison environment. I would definitely recommend Primecare Locums to everyone else. Primecare Locums deliver on promises, they often fill last minute requirements and always notify us in advance of any potential problems i.e. Changes in Locum GP who is booked for sessions. I believe Nikki and Richard do as much as they can to help us and I truly cannot think of any suggestions for areas in which they could possibly improve on their service, as it really is exceptional! |

We at Aston Pride Community Health Centre have been using Primecare Locums consistently for the past year and cannot fault the speedy and efficient service we get both from the agency and the GP Locums themselves. We have worked with Primecare Locums for a few years and we always find their service of a high standard. The staff are very helpful and try to accommodate out requests even when we gave given them short notice, sometimes due to illness or rearranged holidays. I have tried other agencies in the past but they did not seem to be able to meet our needs and did not come back to us to inform us whether they could help or not. It is always helpful to practices when the agency keeps them up to date, even if they are not able to cover certain dates. I have always been satisfied with Primecare Locums and have not contacted other agencies since working with them. The practice has a very good relationship with the staff and locum doctors alike. We have never had a doctor we have not liked and the patients now ask for certain ones. Both I and the practice would be more than willing to recommend Primecare to any GP practice. |

I have always found the service I have receive from Primecare Locums to be most professional. The Consultants, Richard and Nikki have always done their utmost to fulfil our requirements even when this has been at very short notice. We have been provided with some excellent GPs which is very important in a single handed surgery when there is no other GP available. We have often requested for the same GP to return to the practice and whenever possible, the Consultants have endeavoured to arrange this. I found Primecare, and in particular Lucy, extremely helpful and dealt with my problem immediately. I felt I had a very personal service and was made to feel that my requirement was a top priority. The speed with which we were found locums is exceptional and this alleviates a great deal of stress for the practice and in particular, me. Previous agencies have been difficult to deal with, uncommunicative and expensive. Primecare has been none of these. I would recommend Primecare and would tell everyone to deal with Lucy as she was wonderful in dealing and provided a very personal service. The level of communication from Lucy is also of a high standard and in the past 5 years I have not dealt with anyone close to as good as Lucy is with regards to professionalism and the customer services that she achieves. I have always received a prompt and accurate service from Primecare locums. Sometimes I have contacted Sandip at the last minute and she has always managed to rescue me from a very difficult situation. I cannot fault the quality of doctors supplied by Primecare Locums. I have never received any negative feedback from patients which is always a good thing and also very reassuring. Sandip is a fantastic consultant! I know that as soon as I have discussed my locum needs with her that they will be dealt with efficiently and quickly. In general practice there is no room for delay and with Sandip there is none. Since using Primecare locums I have never used any other agency. Before that I did and I could never understand how they can charge mileage. To say that irritated me would have been an understatement. Some locums are not local and this would bump up the charge considerably. Primecare locums is the first locum and only locum agency I am using at the moment as Sandip, so far has always been able to help me with my locum needs. I don’t see the point in using any other agency. I have and will continue to recommend Primecare locums to other practice managers. |

I have now been working with Primecare Locums for almost 2 years, and I can whole-heartedly recommend their service to any GP looking for Locum work. I have found all the staff an absolute pleasure to deal with at all times. They have been honest, hard-working, accommodating, and always been willing to go the extra mile to make my working life easier. On several occasions they have been to lengths which I would not have expected from anyone (for example, even brought me lunch to my workplace when I forgot my wallet at home!!). I am the first to admit that I am not particularly good with my administration, but they have always been on hand to help me out. After working as a salaried doctor for 5 years we had to relocate due to my wife’s career, and I had to give up my potential partnership. A few months before I left my last practice, Sandip from Primecare Locums contacted me and asked if I would be interested to do some locum work. It was perfect timing, so here I am now working as a full time GP locum through Primecare Locums as an agency. For me it was a new found freedom. Sandip easily fills up my schedule, I was soon working full time and as an out-of-hours locum as well. The pay rate was good which worked out much better financially from my previous jobs. I can also decide where and when I would like to work as I am completely free to choose when to have my holidays. Whenever I am encountering a new IT system, Sandip organised the necessary IT training from the practices for me, so soon I was working with SystmOne, Vision, EMIS PCS, in addition to the EMIS LV that I was so used to. Sandip is a very efficient, dynamic and reassuring person. It helps a lot when you are doing locums, as you are constantly venturing into unfamiliar geographical areas and new surgeries. She acts as a single point of contact, and liaises everything with the surgeries for me. She sends all my paperwork to the practices and she chases up all my payments. There had been times when I needed to urgently ring her, like when I was stuck in traffic, or for directions when my Sat Nav could not find bring me to the door of a practice. She is always helpful and very efficient in sorting things out. She played a very central and significant role in my locuming experience and when she was on holiday the difference was clearly felt. For all doctors considering being a locum, I would certainly recommend Primecare Locums, particularly with Sandip Narewal as your locum coordinator. |

I finished my GP training and started working with Primecare Locums around September 2009 as I was looking for flexible work due to teenage kids, a little toddler and a working wife. I must say it was the best decision for me; I am happy and pleased with the professional and personal relationship developed with Nikki and Richard over the two years I have been working with Primecare Locums. I find Primecare Locums to be the best agency and I have recommended them to several of my colleagues without any reservation. Some reasons as to why they are the best are: • Organised - Thanks to Jane Lang you will receive a monthly overview of sessions you are booked in for and a weekly confirmed Rota. This helps me to balance home and work life. • Flexible – They have been very accommodating when I have had sudden changes in my plans. I would not have enjoyed this working life style in a salaried GP position or in a partnership. • Variation - Work offered is an excellent balance of GP surgeries, Walk in Centres, Out Of Hours and IDTS (secure environment). It keeps the working environment dynamic and challenging with no hassle of dealing with several agencies and trying to juggle between shifts. • Payments – are made promptly every week and a new system of remittance advice is quite helpful in doing tax returns. • Pay - Their rates of pay are among the best in the market. To top it off, it’s the way these consultants deal with me; the care and understanding both Nikki and Richard show is remarkable! Both of them are excellent professionals but with a natural flare of being friendly. I feel quite happy to go to work knowing that they have done their best to book the shifts they have lined up for me. You will also receive a Quarterly Newsletter which is informative and with good contacts to help keep up with our skills and PDP. For the past 2.5 years or so I have been using the services of Primecare Locums. They, in particular Miss Sandip Narewal, my main contact, have been uniformly helpful and courteous in all their dealings with me and with the practices for whom I have worked. I have felt I have a good relationship with my main consultant, Sandip Narewal, and that she has an understanding of my work needs and ethics, and on this basis offers relevant jobs. I always feel I can discuss matters with her, and forward any difficulties met. I have worked freelance and for other agencies in the past, and have felt quite happy with the care taken by Primecare. A few extras have been offered and accepted, such as keeping me updated on CRB checks and other such matters…all help gladly received. It was good to meet Miss Narewal at a sponsored evening in Leicester, it much improved the feeling to be working with a person rather than the electronic conversations usually required to keep locum allocation up to date. Payment systems will always be a sticking point in locum work, but the accounting sheets and the promptness of Primecare Locums have been a great improvement on some other systems I have encountered. All in all, I am very happy to work for Primecare Locums, especially with Miss Sandip Narewal as my "consultant". |
